RCS strings workshop

Free music workshop for adults aged 50+ with ABRSM and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland

Saturday 14 October
10am–4pm
FREE

ABRSM and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland have joined together as part of Luminate: Scotland’s creative ageing festival, to offer a free one-day workshop for amateur strings musicians aged 50+.

This free workshop hopes to bring together amateur musicians, as well as teachers who want to learn more about working with adult learners. Held in Glasgow, at the Royal Conservatoire, this one-day workshop will bring together an ensemble of string musicians to learn a new piece of music and perform to an invited audience, all with the help of expert tutors from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

If you are over 50 and play a string instrument and want to get involved, or, if you are a music teacher who wants to learn more about working with adult learners, register for this free event now.

Hello, I found this, by chance, online and am thinking about maybe registering to take part. I clicked on the ‘register here’ link and it went to ‘page not found.’ Please could you let me know if it is going ahead, and if it is ,could you let me know if there is a minimum standard, who the tutors would be and perhaps what the music would be – if that information is available. Very many thanks.
