Notice is hereby given that a General Meeting of the members of Merchant Sinfonia will be held at 7pm on Tuesday 10 September 2013 in Studio 1, City Halls, Glasgow (entrance via Albion Street) to conduct the following business:
(1) To note the Constitution of Merchant Sinfonia, as adopted by the Founder members and displayed on the website www.merchantsinfonia.org.uk and to receive the report of the Chair of the Working Group to re-establish Merchant Sinfonia;
(2) To elect the Chair, Vice-chair and Committee for the forthcoming year (nominations will be posted on the website;
(3) To note the appointment of Louise Martin as Musical Director and receive her report for the forthcoming season;
(4) To receive the report of the Treasurer with budget forecasts for the coming year ;
(5) To elect an honorary independent financial examiner for the accounts of Merchant Sinfonia for the ensuing year;
(6) To discuss any other business with the permission of the Chair.
