Message: Playing Opportunity in the CAIRNGORMS, 3rd November

Hello,
I would like to invite playing members of the Merchant Sinfonia to take part in a play-through of the Cairngorms Traverse in Nethy Bridge village hall on 3rd November 2018.
The piece is a full-length symphony describing the mountains with interesting parts written for proficient amateurs.
The day will be conducted by Michael Graham, who is already well-known as a musician who can get the best out of a varied group and make the occasion fun.
The music can be heard on Soundcloud at https://soundcloud.com/nic56/cairngorms-traverse-1 and the score and parts can be found on IMSLP under my name.
Parts will be allocated on a first come first served basis, although there may be some doubling of wind parts.
To offset costs, there is a charge of £15 per player. There will be a play-through at the end when the fruits of the day’s work will be heard by any onlookers in the hall.
It would be very helpful if you were able to pass this invitation on to your members, by forwarding this message or at least the link to the poster describing the event, which is at https://www.facebook.com/Cairngorms-Traverse-714783595212671/ . Anyone interested in playing could get in touch with me at [email protected].

Thank you,

Nic Bullivant.
